CHANGE MANAGEMENT TRAINING

This 3-part series is designed for managers and leaders who do not know much about change management and want some basic training in what to do and how to think about it. Each online session is one hour in duration and is delivered as a live event.

A minimum of 3 participants is needed before the event will run. It can be scheduled at a time that best meets your needs.

Session 1 - Approaching Change

This is the first part of a 3-part series on managing change. This series is intended primarily for managers or other workers who are not change specialists but need to know the basics of how to manage teams through change.

This one-hour, online session sets the scene and prepares participants for understanding the other sessions that follow. We consider the meaning and differences between three essential ideas – change management, change fitness, and change readiness.

Session 2 - What You're Managing

This is the second part of a 3-part series on managing change.

To manage change effectively, you need to have a logical framework to structure how you think about change and what you do. People need to trust in the process and in the managers and leaders who are directing the process. To build that trust, the process must make sense, be logical, and follow a natural order.

You will be introduced to a framework that is based on the psychology of how humans succeed at change. This is what we call the success pattern and it provides an intuitive and clear framework to guide your practice and thinking.

Session 3 - Knowing What to Do

This is the third part of a 3-part series on managing change.

Now that you have a logical framework to guide your change management process, you need to know what tasks to organise into the framework and when to do each one.

This session shows you how to think about tasks and what to do at each step of the change process. This is very practical and shows you exactly what you need to do. We will give you a comprehensive set of templates that map out what to do and when to do it (over 100 pages).

When you complete these three one-hour sessions you will have a much better understanding of how to manage change and what you need to do. More importantly, you will know how to think about change and what’s involved.

ASSESSMENTS

Successful organisational change does not come by accident or good luck. It comes from getting the fundamentals right and having the right approach. 

Two fundamentals you need are flexible people and people who are ready to engage in the change project. We can provide assessments that measure these two variables.

ORGANISATIONAL FLEXIBILITY ASSESSMENT

How flexible are the workers in your organisation? How good are they with change – really? What change strengths do they have, and what risks do they pose?

To be flexible means more than flexible working arrangements. It means having flexible workers – people who are good at changing how they think and how they work as different needs arise.

This assessment will reveal how flexible your people are in how they respond to change. It will provide actionable steps you can take to improve your flexibility and reduce risk. 

Knowing what is right and wrong about your flexibility as an organisation lets you see how you can improve things so the organisation performs better all the time.

ENGAGEMENT READINESS

You cannot expect good outcomes if your people are not ready to engage in the change process. This is an issue that needs monitoring. We have an assessment tool that shows how ready to engage your people are, and the areas you need to work on to build their readiness.

If you don’t do this, disengagement and resistance levels will be high and this will threaten he viability of your change efforts.

CHANGE FITNESS TRAINING

Change fitness refers to our psychological capacity to be flexible in how we think and how we respond to changes that come our way. People who are high on change fitness handle change well – in fact, they often relish change. People with low change fitness tend to struggle with change and prefer things to stay the same.

This training (with or without coaching) addresses the psychological resources that promote high levels of change fitness. We have, on average, seen an increase in change fitness scores by nearly 40% over a 90 day period.

 

The Vanilla PCFP (Personal Change Fitness Program) is the full online training program but without any coaching. It is mainly intended for organisations that are prepared to offer their own support to participants.

If you want a cost-effective alternative that includes coaching, we recommend the Group Coaching version.

Vanilla PCFP

No Coaching

This is the Group Coaching version of the PCFP. 

It takes 11 weeks to complete and you will need to put in around 3 hours per week in individual work. This work includes watching a video, doing a quiz, and completing reflective activities. This work is done online and submitted. 

Your change fitness is measured going into the program and assessed again at the end of the program to see how much improvement you have made. This will let you know which areas you might still need to work on.

In addition to the individual work and the online assessments, there are 4 hours of online group coaching. These are conducted live with a qualified change fitness coach to support your development. You will be given options for meetings to attend.

We guarantee you will make at least a 10% improvement in your change fitness scores, provided you satisfactorily complete all parts of the program. If you meet the conditions and do not make a 10% improvement, we will refund 100% of the fees. 

Group Coaching PCFP

This is the Individual Coaching version of the PCFP. This option is perfect for people wanting individual attention and their own change fitness coach. 

It takes 11 weeks to complete and you will need to put in around 3 hours per week in individual work. This work includes watching a video, doing a quiz, and completing reflective activities. This work is done online and submitted. 

Your change fitness is measured going into the program and assessed again at the end of the program to see how much improvement you have made. This will let you know which areas you might still need to work on.

In addition to the individual work and the online assessments, there are 6 hours of online individual coaching. These are conducted live with a qualified change fitness coach to support your development. You will book a mutually convenient time for these coaching sessions.

We guarantee you will make at least a 10% improvement in your change fitness scores, provided you satisfactorily complete all parts of the program. If you meet the conditions and do not make a 10% improvement, we will refund 100% of the fees.
